How It Works

A two-part system that keeps you accountable.

Activity Monitoring

Scans window titles, keyboard input, and process names in real time. Detects blocked websites, apps, and keywords instantly.

Escalating Consequences

Each violation increases punishment duration. Starts at 10 seconds and scales up to 2 minutes per offense type.

Time-Locked Pledges

Lock yourself into a commitment for hours or days. System clock tampering is detected and triggers enforcement.

Accountability Email

Violation reports with screenshots sent to a trusted partner. Auto-apology protocol when you slip up.

Adult Shield

Built-in blocklist of 10,000+ adult domains. Toggle on for automatic filtering via hosts file.

Smart Blocking

Block specific content inside allowed apps. Block social media in Chrome while keeping work sites accessible.

Why Oathkeeper

Unlike parental controls, Oathkeeper is designed for one user: yourself.

Self-Applied

You choose what to block, when, and how strict. No third party controls your constraints.

No Silent Bypass

Stopping the engine logs a violation. The bypass code is SHA-256 hashed, never stored in plaintext.

Runs Without UI

The C++ engine runs as a scheduled task. Closing the UI does not stop enforcement.
